Lamborghini hits another bull's eye
Two months ago, our photographer Toby Strange was commissioned by car customizing veterans Sportech to capture a few work progress shots of a rare breed from the Italian fighting bulls they had been working on in partnership with Llumar.
Any entry level Lamborghini Aventador raises eyebrows and has people sweating in unorthodox places on any sunny day. After the Murcielargo’s replacement came into existence, a few other versions followed suit including the roadster then came the 720 horsepower 50th Aniversario which had an advanced aerodynamic kit that personified an aesthetic and scientific marvel. We can’t obviously overlook the spaceship that is the LP750-4 SuperVeloce which epitomizes futuristic automotive design from every angle.
Going back to the entry Model, Lambo partnered with their long-time ally Pirelli tyres, who have been dressing up raging bulls with premium hooves since 1936 back when the Italian automaker use to roll out tractors and created this special edition that mark a milestone in the two giants’ longstanding partnership.
The exterior has a two tone colour scheme which comprises of a gloss black roof which comes standard with every Pirelli edition model then the colour for the rest of the body is solely dependent on the customer’s requirements. Sportech was given the task of applying a layer of protective film on the Pirelli Edition Aventador to safe guard the meticulous paint scheme.
The conventional leather treatment in the interior was replaced with premium suede you will find in the murcielargo Super-Veloce and Reventon. To keep the fine fabric together, red thread was utilized to complement the Pirelli logos on the backrests and the side edges of the center console.
Lastly, the shoes of course had to be extra special. The wheels mounted are usually found on the LP720 or optionally provided on the regular Aventador. The tires’ design was first observed on the most expensive road car ,the Veneno and for this special bull ,the same Pirelli p-zero designs wrapped up the 20 inch App Tech manufactured wheels.
To our knowledge, only one thus far has made it to this side of the hemisphere and this one in particular shall adorn the man cave of a deep pocketed ZA auto head who shall remain nameless.
Word has it this was an 8 bar transaction between the owner and Lambo SA, keep watch of your rear-view mirror.

KAWASAKI H2R
Meet the Kawasaki H2R hypersport, the most
insane hyperbike as of late. 321 horsepower and an estimated 400km/h+ top speed
will have you anywhere across any space now. This is the type of bike that pops
up on the traffic officers’ database with a don’t
bother to chase sticker on its image, okay not really. I do however doubt
that even the Dubai police, with all their hyper car fleet would even try to
catch up. The monster you’re looking at happens to be the only one in the
country as of late and the owner is willing to depart with it, at the right
price of course. The only place in SA where you’ll see so much carbon fibre on
anything will be at Denel’s composite material plant. The body finishes are
either a full carbon fiber composite or a mirror finish black. Mirror finish isn’t some simple alternative to a scientific paint color name, you can
literally see the reflection of any object next to the body. As of now, this is
the Bugatti Vittesse of bikes. In fact, with a 400km top speed, wouldn’t you
love to see it take on the Bug? Contact Race SA and make it yours for R
795,000.00.
Here’s a link to a
