One of the things I look
forward to when attending the Classic cars meet Japan vs Germany car show which
is held twice in the year, is that someone will bring out a ride that will
literally shut down the entire show and draw a lot of the crowds’ attention to
it. Back in July, an 850 horsepower three tone matte ‘69 Dodge Challenger (which
the owner asked me not to publish) came for a brief moment, dropped jaws,
garnered attention from major car publication and left without committing to a
feature. Four months later, as I navigated through the multitudinous cars of
different eras and customization cultures, I came across a popular exhibitor at
the Show Pablo, the founder of Nancefield auto paints. Year in year out he
brings his tantalizing yellow Gallardo to the show along with a few of his
flagship rides to showcase N-A-P’s outstanding aesthetics work which range from
Mark 1s golfs and Corollas. In the last classic car show for 2014 ,he brought
out his very own Hulk in a form of a Nissan Skyline GTR which his Nancefield
paints team painted in a mint green colour shade with so much depth ,you’d be
tempted to run your tongue all over it (gross but true).
After chatting about his latest addition to his fleet, which aside from the Lambo comprises of a Mercedes Vito and an Aston Martin, He made me aware of the performance improvements to his ride which included bigger turbos, Custom exhaust, and ECU tuning and custom transmission. All these additions result in a whopping 800 horsepower power plant that sends the green goblin past Porsches Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Pablo doesn’t plan to stop there, in 2015 the plan is two raise the bar by another 200 ponies. At this stage, keep your eyes wide open if you’re ever in the Lenasia area but don’t blink, you might miss it.
